This executive course is a full time training, given by epidemiologists, and humanitarian practitioners, which focuses on epidemiological methods and tools commonly used in the field during humanitarian crises.

At the end of the course, participants will be able to use basic epidemiological concepts that are relevant in the field during acute and protracted crises. They will be able to explain epidemiology’s role in humanitarian settings and describe its limitations; explain and interpret main health indicators used during humanitarian crises.

  • Professionals in the humanitarian, development or social sector looking to develop their competencies as well as reflect and capitalise on their experiences.
  • Professionals from other sectors who wish to increase their understanding of the humanitarian sector for a potential career change.
