Please find below some important information regarding our programmes for 2020-2021 considering the exceptional circumstances during COVID19 crisis.
Courses of the Academic Year 2020-2021 will start on 14 September 2020. However, due to the pandemic and to guarantee a supportive learning environment, we have decided to adopt a remote approach for everyone, meaning that ALL courses will be exclusively delivered online until the end of December 2020.
Online courses will take place between 21 September – 18 December, 2020.
This includes term one of the Master Programme and the Certificate in Advanced Studies in ‘Quality Management of Humanitarian Projects’.
Face-to-face courses will be offered after the winter break in January 2021 with the remaining terms of the Master programme and the Diploma of Advanced Studies (DAS) in Humanitarian Action (from 18 January to 26 March 2021). The current two CAS courses “Communication, Advocacy and Negotiation” and “Health in humanitarian settings” will be replaced by a selection of one-week elective short courses to offer more flexibility among the different topics learned. Students will select five out of the ten short courses offered. These courses will end at the end of June 2021. Participants interested in the Diploma or the Master do not have to be in Geneva before January 2021 (except scholarship holders who must be in Geneva from September 2020). The Master participants will be able to follow all the courses online and remotely from September to December 2020. We will provide technical assistance as necessary. You will be registered as CERAH students and will be able to use the University of Geneva and Graduate Institute databases (library catalogues, learning platform, etc.). The Diploma participants will start the face-to-face courses on January 18, 2021. However, we recommend students arrive in Geneva at least one week before January 18, 2021, to allow time to settle down and initiate all the administrative procedures before the face-to-face courses start.
