Our courses focus on strengthening the competencies of humanitarian professionals. You can select from a wide variety of courses in terms of length, discipline and format, with flexible and modular options to expand your knowledge. Thematic priorities for our courses are developed in close consultation with the Centre’s academic and humanitarian partners, including International Committee of the Red Cross and Médecins Sans Frontières.

We offer both residential and online courses. Every online course includes live sessions two to three times per week via Zoom, in the afternoon (Central European Time), for 2.5 hours. Online courses require 20-25 hours of dedicated work per week. We recommend that participants allow at least 50% of their time for the online courses and adapt their professional work accordingly.

We also offer a free MOOC (Massive Online Open Course): Operational Research for Humanitarians, developed with ICRC and Aga Khan University.
