Engaging in dialogue at humanitarian events
Our Geneva Centre of Humanitarian Studies offers a neutral academic safe space for dialogue on sensitive humanitarian issues.
Last year, we celebrated our 25 year anniversary, an event that brought our community together and stood out as a highlight of 2023.
In 2024, we continued building on that energy by participating in several events that allowed us to connect with colleagues, partners, alumni, and future students. These events, whether in-person, online, or hybrid, are central to fostering meaningful exchanges and strengthening collaborations.
Explore highlights from some of these occasions by flicking through the photo gallery below, capturing some of the moments that shaped our year.
As we look ahead to 2025, we welcome your ideas. If you have photos from past events or suggestions for future gatherings, feel free to contact our communications team, Irina and Charlotte.

Wrapping up 2024 with our students
To wrap up 2024, we hosted an informal dinner at our headquarters to mark the end of the year together with our students, lecturers, administration and communications teams. Thanks to the culinary talents, the event featured, not only smiles and new friendships, but also many dishes from various continents, a testament to the diversity and international spirit of our community.
Saying goodbye to our 2024 MAS students is bittersweet, yet we’re thrilled to welcome the next cohort. Learn more about the programme and apply by 31 May 2025 here.
